I have openings for weekly therapy: on Mondays at 9am, Wednesdays at 10am or 2pm. Feel free to reach out if any of these times would work for you for regular weekly therapy. Please make sure you have already verified your insurance benefits (if you plan to use your insurance) and have ensured that you are able to commit to weekly sessions before calling for the phone screening.
*Please note, that I DO NOT provide letters for FMLA, disability, or "emotional support animals" letters. I also do not see patients who are required (court ordered) to attend therapy. Those seeking these objectives should seek treatment elsewhere.
The steps to becoming a patient are simple. 1) verify your insurance coverage and then send me an email including the information listed below.
If you are reaching out for an appointment, I’ll need to know your age (I work with patients age 19-62), the insurance company you plan to use (make sure you check first to see if I take your insurance, unless you plan to pay out of pocket), your availability for appointment times, and briefly, what specifically you are seeking treatment for (any previous diagnosis). Please make sure to verify that you do live in WA state and will be located inside WA state for sessions. What made you decide to seek counseling at this time? How did you find me? Is there a person I can reach out to thank for the referral?
2) I will then send you and email inviting you to the HIPAA compliant portal (Simple Practice) to complete the paperwork online. You will need to include a copy of the front and back of your insurance card and include a credit card on file for payment for any fees for appointments not covered by your insurance (copay, coinsurance, deductible, late cancellations, etc.).
3) once you have completed all of your paperwork, I will set up an appointment for a phone screening to determine goodness of fit. I will need to set up an appointment to do an initial phone screening before setting up an intake appointment, as I will need to speak with you to determine if we would be a good fit for working together and to ensure that virtual therapy would be an appropriate level of care for your concerns.
*Due to the large number of contacts I receive for patients seeking treatment, I can only provide phone screenings for serious inquiries for patients. This includes those who have already done the work upfront to determine the appointment times I have available work for you, and you have done your research for payment, whether it be in-network or out of pocket payments. I DO NOT hold or reserve appointment times until both the paperwork is completed AND the phone screening has taken place. All appointments are on a first come first serve basis.
